What is Salvation?
Simply put salvation is being saved from danger, loss or harm. Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. The bible teaches that man sin had separated them from their God. God being the source of all life, man separation from him meant spiritual death.  Salvation is the total work of God: it begins and ends with God. God portrays man as a sheep that has gone astray and incapable of finding its’ way home. Man was eternally lost. God in his great love for man found a way that man might be redeemed without compromising his righteousness.

What are we being saved from?
God's judgment has been upon mankind since Adam. Mankind has rebelled against God and therefore came under condemnation of death. It is mainly this condemnation of death that we are being saved from. John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Why do we need Salvation?
Let's go back to the beginning to understand why we need salvation. In the garden of Eden God commanded man not to eat of the forbidden fruit. Man rebelled and ate of the forbidden fruit, yielding to the serpent deception. As a result the judgment of death came upon man and separation from the tree of life .Genesis 2:16-17 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: [17] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Why do I have to pay for Adam and Eve sins?
All mankind are descendants of Adam and Eve, and all was born into a world corrupted by sin. We have all inherited sin from our forefathers and have learned the ways of sin. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

What must I do to be saved?
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart and you shall be saved.

Repentance - To repent means to be careful or concerned with, to have another mind, a change of mind or not to be careful or concerned with. We are not to repent or change our purpose about gifts, calling and salvation. We perceive our sin, and change our mind and purpose for the better in Christ. We regret our sins and repent to God.
