As children of God we are constantly been bombarded by many situation which seems to have us in a position where we fail in strength. But the Lord is our helper, he is the friend of a wounded heart. Regardless of the nature of the situation or problem the Lord can and will deliver.

Before we go on further let us pray taking authority over all evil forces.
Father, I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I take authority over Satan and all his evil spirits from my position at the right hand of the father, seated above every name that is named in the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I bind all mind controlling spirits. I pray for a clear mind to receive the word of God. I come against every spirit of slumber and pray for a upright spirit. Lord I renounce every false and evil way and now pray for your blood covering as we tell you thanks in Jesus name.

The Object of Prayer is the Answer
Prayer is one of the simpliest but challenging christian experience. It does not require a long time after one has been saved to really pray. Prayer is simply telling the Lord the desires of your heart. Although prayer is expressing your heart desires, those desires must be shaped by the word of God. To know the word of God we must study the bible carefully: we cannot be careless when handling the word of God. The aim of prayer is to receive an answer. It is pointless to pray if there is no answer, prayer is not just a spiritual devotion, we should receive an answer. If you have been a christian for many years and have not received an answer to your prayers, then your christian life must be quite questionable.

We Must Ask when Praying
When praying one must really ask. "Ye have not, because he ask not" (James 4:2). "And I say unto you, ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek and ye find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened" (Luke 11:9-10). Many christians today have uttered many words before God but have not asked for anything. The Lord says knock and it shall be opened unto you. But the lord will not open will not open unto you because you have not asked for anything. "Ye have not, because ye ask not". Asking must be specific and to the point. This is what seeking and knocking means.

We Must According to the Word
"Ye ask, and receive not, because ye asked amiss" (James 4:3). Men should ask God for their need, but they are not suppose to ask beyond their measure. Each of us as believer need to know God's purpose for our lives and understand how he is dealing with at a particular time. We should not ask beyond our current need, if your need is great, then you can ask God to supply that great need. If your need is small, then ask God to supply that small need. Asking beyond your need is driven by lust and God will hear no such prayer.

We Must Ask with a Pure Heart
"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear" (Psalm 66:18). We have asked and have done so appropriately, but my prayers are still not answered.
